MUNICIPALITY OF BATAN HOLDS TURNOVER AND INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE 2024 LGSF-SAFPB EXPANSION OF BATAN WATER SYSTEM LEVEL III AND 2024 SGLGIF PURCHASE OF RESCUE VEHICLE

The Municipality of Batan spearheaded the Turnover and Inauguration Ceremony for two significant projects, the Expansion of Level III Water Supply System in Barangay Ambolong, Batan, Aklan, funded under the FY 2024 Local Government Support Fund – Support and Assistance Fund to Participatory Budgeting (LGSF-SAFPB) in the amount of ?13,330,000.00, and the Purchase of a Rescue Vehicle funded under the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance – Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) amounting to ?1,153,000.00.

DILG-Aklan Cluster Head, LGOO VII Susan M. Balsamo delivered a message on behalf of DILG VI Regional Director Juan Jovian Ingeniero, CESO III, emphasizing that this milestone is more than just the completion of an infrastructure project, it signifies the steady flow of progress and the wellspring of hope for our community. RD Ingeniero also underscored that beyond pipelines and reservoirs, the project stands as a clear testament to the core of good governance: the delivery of quality public service.

Also present from the DILG-Aklan Provincial Office were LGOO V Jun Christian T. Guardialao and Engr. Eleazar R. Balatucan, together with MLGOO Aniano Ray F. Franco, other DILG Field Officers, LGU functionaries, Punong Barangays, and community beneficiaries.
