THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DILG) HOSTS A CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOS) SERVING IN LOCAL SPECIAL BODIES (LSBS) AND OTHER LOCAL COUNCILS
This initiative conducted on November 21, 2025 at Aklan Training Center, Old Buswang, Kalibo empowers CSO representatives by equipping them with the fundamental skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to actively and effectively participate in local governance.
Through this training, participants gain a clearer understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities as members of the LSBs and various councils. More importantly, it opens wider opportunities for CSO engagement in local decision-making, strengthening community participation and ensuring that development remains inclusive and responsive.
Together, we build stronger partnerships for transparent, participatory, and accountable local governance.
