DILG-AKLAN FACILITATES THE 2024 KALINISAN SA BARANGAY PROJECT

As part of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s initiative in maintaining and providing a healthy and safe environment and enable community participation, DILG-Aklan actively participated in the conduct of Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Community-Based Clean-up Drive in various barangays in the province of Aklan.

March 2, 2024 – Brgy. Man-up, Batan, Aklan
DILG-Aklan, in partnership with the Municipality of Batan, Barangay Man-up Council and other National Government Agencies joined the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Community-Based Clean-up Drive at Barangay Man-up, Batan, Aklan.

The participation of 302 participants coming from the national government agencies, local officials, community members and stakeholders is a manifestation of their overwhelming support and cooperation in the Bagong Pilipinas brand of leadership.

March 9, 2024 – Brgy. Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan
DILG-Aklan, in partnership with the Municipality of Kalibo, and Barangay Andagao Council and other National Government Agencies (Kalibo Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Education), Civil Society Organization (Kool Earth, Fisherfolks association of Andagao, OneGanap Guardians, RIC Andagao), Senior Citizen-PWD Association, 4Ps, Tupad, Tibyog Andagao Members, San Roque Association, ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc., Kalibo Municipal Employees, Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, Andagao Elementary School Parent-Teachers Association, St. Peter Association, and Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts of the Philippines-Kalibo Chapter joined the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Community-Based Clean-up Drive at Barangay Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan.

The participation of 705 participants coming from the national government agencies, local officials, community members, and stakeholders collected 760 kilos of garbage.

March 16, 2024 – Brgy. Janlud, Libacao, Aklan
DILG-Aklan, in partnership with the Municipality of Libacao, and Barangay Janlud Council together with the Office of Sangguniang Bayan, MENRO, MDRRMO, SK Officials of Janlud, 4Ps Beneficiaries, Janlud Women Sustainable Livelihood Program Association, Janlud Iwag Youth Movement, Libacao Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection-Libacao, and 1st Aklan Police Force Mobile Company joins the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Community-Based Clean-up Drive at Barangay Janlud, Libacao, Aklan.

The participation of 283 participants coming from the national government agencies, local officials, community members, and stakeholders collected 1050 kilos of garbage.

March 23, 2024 – Brgy. Dangcalan, Malinao, Aklan
DILG-Aklan, in partnership with the Municipality of Malinao, and Barangay Dangcalan Council together with the Office of Sangguniang Bayan, Provincial ENRO, MDRRMO, SK Officials of Dangcalan, 4Ps Beneficiaries, Malinao Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection-Malinao, Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts - Dangcalan Elementary School, Civil Society Organizations (i.e. Panay Eagles Club and GFCII), and Philippine Army (601st CDC, Bravo Company) joined the simultaneous Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) Community-Based Clean-up Drive and Tree Planting Activity at Barangay Dangcalan, Malinao, Aklan.

The participation of 683 participants coming from the national government agencies, local government officials, community members, and partner stakeholders collected a total of 1,368 kilos of garbage and planted a total of 102 fruit bearing trees, and 400 pcs flowering plant, respectively.

March 27, 2024 – Brgy. Katipunan, Buruanga, Aklan
DILG-Aklan, in partnership with the Municipality of Buruanga, and Barangay Katipunan Council together with the Office of Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Hon. Femy C. Dumaguin, Liga President Hon. Quezon F. Labindao, MENRO, MDRRMO-Buruanga, SK Officials of Barangay Katipunan, 4Ps beneficiaries, Barangay Panilongan Council, Buruanga Municipal Police Station, 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company, Bureau of Fire Protection-Buruanga, Philippine Coast Guard – Buruanga Coast Guard Auxiliary, LGU department heads and employees, teachers and pupils of Katipunan Elementary School, Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts – Buruanga Vocational School, Civil Society Organizations (Fisherfolks and Brgy Katipunan Farmer’s Association) joined the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa) community-based clean-up drive at Barangay Katipunan, Buruanga, Aklan.

The participation of 570 participants coming from the national government agencies, local government officials, community members, and partner stakeholders collected a total of 166 kilos of garbage.

In all the conducted Kalinisan Day, representatives from DILG-Aklan highlighted the importance of cleanliness urging local governments to invest in programs, projects, and activities on solid waste management and ecological practices. Back to main post
