BALIK TA SA IRAYA DAY 1

DILG-Aklan, in partnership with LGU Libacao and National Commision on Indigeneous People, successfully conducts Day 1 of “Balik Ta sa Iraya: Ugnayan sa Barangay and Serbisyo Caravan” under the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) in Barangay Dalagsaan, Libacao, Aklan.

“Balik Ta sa Iraya” is a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening linkages, building partnerships, and enhancing community engagement and participation. It represents a shared commitment to bring public service closer to Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), with local and national government agencies joining forces to reach the far-flung barangays of Libacao.

Part of the Day 1 activity was the Kapehan Session, where the DILG conducted a knowledge-sharing session on the Barangay Full Disclosure Policy. Meanwhile, the MDRRMO, BFP, LMPS, and 1st PMFC facilitated skill-sharing on Basic First Aid, Fire Safety Tips, and Arrest Techniques.

A dialogue was also held between barangay officials, the Municipal LGU, and NGAs to align and discuss ongoing programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) at the barangay level.

In addition, an environmental youth organization was formed to lead initiatives on environmental protection and management in the barangay, facilitated by MENRO Libacao. A youth symposium was also conducted by the 82IB of the Philippine Army.

This activity was made possible through the collaboration of various National Government Agencies — Philippine Statistics Authority, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, 82nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Libacao Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Indigeneous People Mandatory Representative and Dalagsa-an Integrated School.
