EODB AUDIT: KALIBO

The Municipality of Kalibo undergoes Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Audit to enhance transparency, efficiency, and ease in public service delivery.

The Municipality of Kalibo was among the select Local Government Units (LGUs) in Region VI chosen to undergo the EODB Audit.

The audit was led by a composite team comprising representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional and Provincial Office, Bureau of Local Government Development, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The assessment team was composed of LGOO VII Anthony Ian G. Andaleza, LGOO V Karen Joy Mansuelo, LGOO IV Aizel M. Padilla (DILG), LGOO III John Renze Gelua and PO I Mark Royce Miralles (BLGD), Joyce C. Salle (ARTA), Pearl Angelique Hilado and Karizza L. Gidaya (DICT), FO1 Robert A Gange (BFP), Joanne G. Dediles (BLGF), and Amiel Sumait (DTI).

The audit assessed Kalibo’s compliance with EODB standards, focusing on the streamlining of business permit and building permit processes, the implementation of the Citizen’s Charter, the functionality of the one-stop shop, and the digitalization of government transactions.

Also present during the activity was Atty. Dave Robert H. Capada, MLGOO of Kalibo, who facilitated the conduct of the audit and coordinated with the LGU departments involved.
