DILG-AKLAN WELCOMES ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY FOR A BENCHMARKING ACTIVITY
DILG-Aklan, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Aklan, warmly welcomed the delegates from the Provincial Government of Zamboanga Sibugay, headed by Vice Governor Hon. Richard D. Olegario, for a Benchmarking Activity on the Legislative Agenda and the Integration of Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CCA-DRRM) into the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) at the Legislative Building, Provincial Capitol, Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan.
Assistant Regional Director Maria Calpiza J. Sardua, CESO IV, of DILG Region VI served as one of the resource persons and presented topics on Understanding the Legislative Agenda on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Meanwhile, Provincial Director Dino A. Ponsaran, CESO V, discussed Gaps and Challenges in Legislative Planning.
This activity aims to enhance the awareness of local functionaries from Zamboanga Sibugay in crafting a responsive Legislative Agenda aligned with national priorities, particularly AmBisyon Natin 2040, and to review existing plans and policies to ensure the effective integration of CCA and DRRM principles.
