PROVINCE OF AKLAN AND NEW WASHINGTON: RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL SUBAYBAYANI LGU TOP PERFORMERS
For successfully presenting their respective projects, the Provincial Government of Aklan and the Municipality of New Washington were recognized among the Top Three in the national level SubayBayani Awards, on December 3, 2024 at the Sequoia Hotel, Parañaque City.
Governor Jose Enrique M. Miraflores of Aklan, and New Washington Mayor Jessice R. Panambo-Regenio, alongside Regional Director Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero, CESO III and Provincial Director Dino A. Ponsaran, CESO V, claimed the awards for the Province of Aklan and LGU-New Washington.
Through their Most Significant Change (MSC) narratives, Aklan presented the project: the Rehabilitation and Improvement of Makato - Calangcang - Agcawilan - Silakat Nonok - San Ramon - Banay - Malinao Road (Phase 2), a significant infrastructure development aimed at improving accessibility and fostering economic growth in the region, while LGU New Washington presented the Construction of Evacuation Center, a vital project aimed at providing a safe space for residents during emergencies.
Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo L. Iringan, Usec Odilon Pasaraba, Asec Ester Aldana, Asec Josephine Leysa, Asec Atty. Jesi Howard S. Lanete, Director Alfonso A Maralli Jr and Asst.
